Brothers James-Douglas, Simeon, Felix and Finnian travelled to Sweden by train to spend over two weeks visiting the diocese of Vasteras, Franciscan tertiaries and local events.

The diocese of Vasteras.

TSSF Chapter
Brothers Simeon and Finnian shared their vocation stories, their ministries and life of prayer with the Swedish TSSF Chapter. They had a wonderful time and felt honoured to be included in the Chapter.

Arboga
Felix and James Douglas were in Arboga, and were privileged to partake in the celebration of Francistide in a church founded by the Franciscans in 1285 (with some amazing wall art!). Then they went mushroom picking in the forest!

Finnåker
One of the places the brothers in Sweden have been able to visit is Finnåker, where a former brother called Len Howard did amazing youth work for a great many years. His youth camps for those wanting to be confirmed had a huge impact on people, and the brothers keep hearing from different people about how he touched their lives. May he rest in peace and rise in glory. The place itself was gorgeous, and the brothers appreciated the time to reflect on the trip so far.

Stockholm
The brothers had an amazing tour at the Vasa museum. We then had lunch with a few of the Swedish tertiaries. It was a nice way to spend time with the tertiaries based in Stockholm. The diocese of Vasteras have been so friendly and welcoming
